Senior Data Scientist

As part of the Kudelski Group’s AI initiative “Insight”, we are developing a new generation of data-driven applications for leading telecom operators around the world. Our products are powered by the latest technologies in generative AI, machine learning, and cloud-native technologies.
We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to help us transform raw data into predictions and actions so that our clients can effectively navigate their business. We are working on a wide range of data science problems, including price elasticity, modeling the uplift of marketing campaigns, predictive maintenance, and LLM-based customer assistance. The typical business impact of a project is in the tens of millions of dollars.

As a member of Insight, you will be responsible for driving the development of Machine Learning workflows for our products and clients.
You will get the chance to have an immediate impact on ongoing projects, get ample freedom to apply state of the art Machine Learning methods, and leverage the data from large telecom operators to build automated, personalized, and optimized action plans and data products.
Responsibilities
Develop predictive and prescriptive workflows using statistics and machine learning algorithms.
Work in a project team, and actively participate to the modeling, algorithms, and data processing choices.
Collaborate with the engineering team and support them in the industrialization of the final workflow.
Closely interface with business analysts in order to analyze and understand the business context in which our solution will be implemented, to make sure it solves a truly valuable problem.
Maintain and develop professional knowledge by attending and presenting at scientific and technical conferences, reading professional publications, and testing state-of-the-art tools.
Requirements / Profile
What we need from you
Here is the type of profile we are looking for:
3+ years of hands-on experience with commercial applications of machine learning
In-depth knowledge of statistics and machine learning algorithm
Curious and careful about the business impact of their work
Able to work collaboratively and proactively alongside scientists, engineers, and analysts
Experience in LLMs, generative AI, causal inference, uplift modeling, or econometrics is a bonus
Good Python programming skills, intimate with the Python data science stack
Knowledge of best practices for software development and data organization, and pleasure in working in an open source environment (Github is at the core of our workflow)
Likes interacting with people and can communicate well even with a non-technical audience
Willingness to occasionally travel and assume a client-facing role
Good spoken and written English, knowledge of French is a plus
