Senior Front-End Developer
Third Summit
At Third Summit, our goal is to build products that literally do not exist yet. Our flagship platform is Alteon.io, a SaaS platform that makes it easier for content creators, brands, studios and clients to work together. No more shipping hard drives, waiting hours for transcoding or struggling to get client feedback. Alteon is an entire ecosystem that lets creatives upload, share, store and collaborate on their work—all in one place. Bolstered by integrations and partnerships with Apple, Adobe, IBM and other industry leaders, Alteon is democratizing the creative industry by making enterprise-quality tools accessible to everyone.
We’re currently building out our internal engineering team to help make this vision a reality. You’ll be joining an enthusiastic and motivated project team. The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced, agile, deadline-driven environment and can collaborate professionally and quickly with colleagues to meet goals. We’re looking for a senior front-end developer to join our new Canadian team based in Toronto. We offer health benefits, flexible time off and the opportunity to earn equity in the company. This is a fully remote position with access to a shared office space in downtown Toronto, and we will occasionally make requests for in-person meetings or social events. We’re looking for team members who want to contribute to our company culture and participate in our regular team building activities.

Expert Knowledge
You should understand and have experience in building production applications with React and Typescript. You’re comfortable setting standards and leading other developers in this space. The ideal candidate will have broad experience with front-end technologies, an eye for design and opinions about how the CSS should be organized and packaged.
Mandatory Technologies
NextJs, React, Node.js, OpenAPI, TypeScript.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant work experience
Excellent programming skills in a front-end programming language such as React or JavaScript, and comfortable learning new languages
Experience building production applications with major SPA frameworks such as React, Next Js or Angular
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly proficient in sophisticated use of CSS, browser compatibility, pre- and post-processors
Experience with clean code and automated testing methodologies
Comfortable with technical ownership and working as part of a global team
Experience designing scalable and reliable systems with a focus on RESTful APIs
Strong knowledge of SDLC build tools and shift-left DevOps methodologies (Github, NPM, Gradle, Maven, etc.)
Must be a self-starter with a sense of urgency and a commitment to quality and professionalism
A strong eye for product design and interactivity, and unwavering attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Reactive programming methodologies and frameworks such as RxJS
Experience with front-end build tools and testing libraries, including Webpack
Experience in building digital video tools or streaming video for an agency, media or a production company
