Senior Marketing Communications Manager – Azure.com

The C+E Web Experience team is looking for a passionate digital marketing expert to lead strategy, prioritization, and planning for Azure Global Engagement Program customer experiences, with a strong background in digital marketing insights, and web optimization. Your primary focus will be supporting Azure.com workstreams that are closely tied to Global Engagement Program (GEP) initiatives, working closely with partner teams spanning Integrated Marketing, Product Marketing, and Engineering to drive our direct business. This is a great opportunity if you are passionate about delighting customers, quality-focused, data driven and love to create global programs and build great user experiences via the web.

What you’ll do
• Serve as Azure.com strategic leader within a best-in-class organization of talented, customer-centric digital commerce professionals that have passion for innovation, ability to help scale a profitable business and who operate at highly productive levels.
• Lead strategy, prioritization, and planning for improving customer experiences across Azure.com.
• Drive customer acquisition and product usage with a solid understanding of the full customer lifecycle.
• Drive feature and functionality improvements on Azure.com for the field to accommodate local market requirements while aligning to global engagement program (GEP) needs.
• Find and deliver partner value through our digital properties. Ensure our existing partner transactional system operates at a high level and drive the customer experience for discovering partners.
• Help deliver a content and programming strategy for Azure.com that can be articulated throughout C+E.
• Examine trends and benchmark competitive offerings to stimulate ideas and ensure a best-in-class site experience.
• Create a results-oriented culture where decisions are supported by market trends, customer-focused research, testing, analysis, and measurement.
• Build the strategy and plan for how we achieve our customers’ top tasks. You prioritize work, communicate progress and drive weekly and monthly business review with a variety of stakeholders.
• Champion the effort to move toward real-time personalization on Azure.com.
Who you are
• You are a strong strategic leader, and a versatile digital marketer with a passion for the web, and strong cross-team collaboration skills.
• You have proven experience working with digital marketers to deliver great results.
• Ability to interact with all levels of the organization; must be able to articulate a vision and develop and deliver supporting business and marketing plans.
• Customer obsessed. You are laser-focused on your audience and their needs and interests.
• Creative, nimble, and unflappable. You find ways to get things done – using your influencing skills across a highly matrixed organization.
• Data-driven marketer: You persuade with facts and challenge your assumptions using surveys, A/B tests, and other tools.
• Experience collaborating across variety of management levels, including executive management.
• Strong technical knowledge and expertise, and a firm understanding of the developer audience.
• Familiarity or affinity with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Has mastered key aspects of business-driven Web publishing, strategy, and project management.
• 5+ years digital marketing experience
• 5+ years website management/strategy experience
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically, execute effectively, work under deadline pressure and manage multiple projects, in some cases, across multiple time zones and platforms
• Proven effectiveness in working within a large company to gain commitment and support for projects and initiatives
• Experienced in managing multiple projects simultaneously amid ambiguity and without direction, and to forge partnerships and drive for results at all levels of Microsoft.
• Project Management experience in a highly independent, but collaborative environment
• BS/BA degree, MBA Preferred
