As an Ooyala Sr. Sales Engineer you will be able to demonstrate thought leadership while engaging with video publishers and content owners at both business and technical levels.

What you will do:

Maintain current and in-depth knowledge of the Ooyala product line.
Work closely with Ooyala sales and business development representatives to actively pursue a sales opportunity.
Own all technical communications with prospects, including demonstrations, answering questions, responding to RFPs, both over the phone, via web conference, and onsite.
Develop and grow strategic relationships at the technical level within the account.
Actively engage with channel partners to assist in pre-sales technical presentations, demonstrations and other activities in an active co-sell model.
Build and present customized demos leveraging Ooyala’s software, products, and APIs.
Work closely Customer Enablement and Customer Success teams to review use of Ooyala’s products, identify upsell opportunities, and ensure customers get the most value from the product.
Facilitate the relationship and communications between customers, product management and professional services to define solutions.
Confidently present and articulate the business value of the Ooyala’s solutions and products to managers and executives of all levels
Attain quarterly and annual objectives
Travel Requirements: up to 30%


6+ years of experience in a digital media solutions or technical pre-sales role.
Strong presentation skills including experience presenting technical details to a wide-ranging audience.
Superior writing skills for responding to RFI/RFPs and for business communications with customers.
Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
Hands-on approach to solving tactical and strategic problems.
Ability to identify and quantify “value”, and define what this means for the customer.
Work as a team player by contributing, learning and sharing new knowledge
Strong skill set in front end development (JQuery, JavaScript, HTML, CSS)

Impress us with:

An appreciation for technical development in web technologies and mobile platforms is a plus.
Experience delivering leading OTT solutions to the world’s largest programmers and broadcasters
Hands-on experience with back-end development and scripting
Familiarity with Ooyala’s technical stack and APIs
Knowledge of video advertising technologies
Knowledge of video supply chain workflows and media asset management systems
