Sr. UI Platform Engineer
Teradata
The Teradata UX team is looking for a self-driven Senior Frontend web application engineer that cares about the overall user, developer and customer experience. You will help design, build & maintain Covalent, our open source UI Platform built on Angular 2 + Material Design. You will also build several of our new cloud-based data & analytical products on this platform. As a Senior engineer, you will be expected to mentor and lead other engineers and be responsible for leading innovation in our UI Platform.
Responsibilities:
• Develop an open source UI Platform
• Design & develop charts and visualizations
• Create enterprise data-centric web apps
• Represent UX Center of Excellence internally & externally
• Work closely with backend engineers to connect APIs
• Ensure UI Usability & Accessibility (a11y)
• Collaborate with product management & customers to deliver the best UX
• Mentor UI engineers and lead by example
Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills:
• 6 or more years of web development experience
• JavaScript engineering (Angular v2 or v4, React, Ember, etc)
• Testing suite experience (Unit tests, Browser tests, Usability tests, etc)
• UI framework proficiency (Angular-Material, Polymer, Foundation, Bootstrap, etc)
• RESTful API consumption and design (Build & consume services)
• Visualization framework experience (D3.js, Highcharts, Google Charts, etc)
• Hybrid app development (Electron, Ionic)
• Use of build tools (Webpack, Gulp, Grunt, etc)
• Git & Github experience (Gitflow or Fork model)
• Agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban, Lean)
• Thrive in a small team & make big decisions that impact products & the platform
