VP of Digital Marketing Technology

The VP of Digital Marketing technology is a senior level strategic position within the IT department. The primary functions of this position are to develop a compelling strategic vision and lead implementation of technology-focused marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Strategy:
Define strategic vision for accomplishing marketing goals (consumer engagement, activation, loyalty, brand promotion, etc.)
Define technical architecture required for the above and answer questions like:
What technologies should we use to achieve a given marketing outcome?
What are the best ways in which to leverage that technology?
What types of creative are best leveraged?
Evolve strategic vision to accommodate for emerging technologies and ever-changing entertainment marketplace opportunities
Technology:
Understand and inform technology ecosystem to support digital marketing activities; including, but not limited to:
DMP, Social platforms, CRM, marketing automation, Mobile and email marketing, mobile technologies, analytics, DAM, Chatbots, etc.
Identify, evaluate, and provide thought-leadership on existing and emerging technologies
Educate team on latest trends, technologies, and techniques in digital marketing
Develop POV on most important opportunities and build business case for pursuing them
Data and Analytics:
Leverage deep understanding of the strengths and limitations of different digital marketing approaches, mediums, and strategies with regard to consumer data collection and analytics to inform implementation of marketing strategies
Demonstrate ability to draw insight from data, as well as identify data gaps and how such gaps can be filled
Develop reports and key metrics for measurement
Creative:
Support business by lending expertise to creative applications of technology; know not just what technology to use, but how we should best leverage it, given our business constraints
Leverage understanding of approval processes, agency relationships, cross-channel consistency, etc. to help deliver desired marketing outcomes
Operations:
Lead development and implementation teams as we execute strategic vision
Responsible for on-time delivery, budget management, and so on
Collaborate with and lead internal stakeholders and external agencies/vendors
Effectively navigate global organization with many internal relationships; marketing, operations, IT, legal, agencies, governance, etc.
Recommend changes to operational model that will result in greater flexibility and adaptability in the face of a changing digital environment
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Digital, Marketing, computer Science, or related field.
7+ years marketing experience in Digital, online marketing systems, CRM, Social Media, mobile or related technologies
