We are looking for an innovative and motivated application developer who is analytical, detail oriented and enjoys operating within cross-functional teams. This position will partner with teams across finance to research, design and develop a framework enabling insightful ad-hoc analysis of the businesses performance. The team’s vision is to push traditionally accepted process boundaries and solve challenges by engineering automated scalable solutions leveraging AWS and IBM TM1.

Responsibilities:

– Collaborate with business users, development teams, and technical support engineering teams to solve problems, implement new financial reporting solutions, and deliver against high operational standards of system availability and reliability
– Build and enhance software to extend system, application, or tool functionality to improve business processes and meet end user needs while working within the overall system architecture
– Diagnose and resolve operational issues, perform detailed root cause analysis, respond to suggestions for enhancements, and create detailed recommendations for solutions to problems that impact code owned by another group
– Perform design and code reviews, mentor junior analysts, institute best practices within the team, and influence the strategic roadmap for the organization
– Identify process improvement opportunities to drive innovation
– Serve as a technical lead on large-scale projects
– Rotational on-call availability for critical systems support
Basic Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering or a related technical discipline
– 5+ years of work experience in developing end-to-end analytics solutions, including system configuration, model building, security, and reporting
– Strong analytical and organizational skills
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
– Experience with full life cycle product development
– Demonstrated proficiency with Java or Python Development
– Experience with ETL and SQL
Preferred Qualifications
– Experience with Financial and Operational Performance Management (TM1, Hyperion, SAP)
– Experience with Amazon Web Services (DynamoDB, RDS, S3, RedShift, SQS, etc)
– Experience with RESTful APIs and OData
– Experience with OLAP technologies
– Experience in object-oriented programming language (Java, Python, Go, C, C#, C++, ect)
– Experience with web development technologies (Javascript, HTML, CSS, ect)
– Experience with communications protocols (TLS, FTP, ect)
– Experience with Agile development methodologies
