2nd Screen Summit: Amsterdam Announces Keynote Speakers

The 2nd Annual 2nd Screen Summit: Amsterdam is scheduled for September 15th at the Hotel Okura Amsterdam. The half day event is being conveniently held to coincide with IBC at the nearby Rai Convention Center. Keynote speakers for the event include Anthony Rose, Co-Founder and CTO of Zeebox and Robert Tercek, Chairman of Creative Visions and former President of Digital at OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network
The 2nd Screen Summit is produced by the 2nd Screen Society, a worldwide organisation of leading connected TV technologists, and MESA Europe, which represents technology service providers for content holders in film, television, games and music.
Rose is one of the leading cross-media and connected TV technologists who was responsible for designing and delivering the BBC iPlayer. Before launching Zeebox he served as CTO of YouView and previously CTO of KaZaA. Based in London, England, Zeebox’s aim is bring the power of the web to live television.
Tercek’s 25-year career includes senior roles at MTV, Sony Pictures and The Oprah Winfrey Network and features such milestones as launching the first multichannel television in Asia, the first online multiplayer games, the first interactive TV game shows, and the first video services delivered to mobile phones. Today his views on the future of television and media are sought by organisations around the world. He is also the host of the online talk show INVENTING THE FUTURE.
Both presentations will address the growing global marketplace for 2nd Screen applications and how broadcasters, brands and advertisers are creating new opportunities to engage consumers through their smartphones and tablets.
