Evolution Digital Adds Two (MESA)

IP video solutions company Evolution Digital has added two new regional sales directors, in a nod to the company’s expansion across the U.S. Industry vets Tom Poynton and David Burns have come aboard to handle regional sales for the central and western regions of North America, respectively, the company announced…

“Tom and David are exceptional individuals whose leadership abilities, management skills and industry knowledge will greatly enhance Evolution Digital’s sales efforts,” said Marc Cohen, EVP of sales for Evolution Digital. “They are at the top of this field as two of the brightest and most innovative sales experts in the cable industry. We will be the beneficiary of Tom and Dave’s accomplishments.”

Poynton brings 23 years of industry experience to the role, serving as a member of Evolution Broadband before it became Evolution Digital in 2010. Evolution Broadband was sold to cable and satellite connector manufacturer PPC. Prior to joining Evolution Broadband in 2004, Poynton worked with both Antec and Arris as territory manager and a product specialist, among other positions.

Burns most recently served as senior director of North American sales at touchscreen solutions company Elo Touch Solutions. Before there, he was director of sales at Motorola Mobility, and prior to Motorola, he held positions at General Instrument and Times Fiber Communications.
