Mediamorph Adds Riley as Chief Revenue Officer (MESA)

Data management services company Mediamorph has added Jim Riley as its new chief revenue officer, bringing the industry vet over from Vubiquity. Riley’s new role will see him developing customer relationships in new markets worldwide, with a focus on pushing Mediamorph’s cloud-based platform, which enables contract management, digital supply chain and royalty processing automation services, to help clients earn more from SVOD, OTT and other new consumption models…

“Jim understands the significant changes facing the media space and he knows how to address them — just as he did with a nascent VOD industry,” said Mediamorph CEO Rob Gardos. “Jim will help Mediamorph drive innovative leading-edge solutions for a changing industry. Adding Jim to the team allows us to transition Steve Pitts to a larger delivery role as EVP [of] global services, working more closely with strategic customers.”

With more than 25 years experience, Riley most recently served as chief revenue officer for Vubiquity. He first joined that company in 2000 when it was Avail-TVN, where he was credited with establishing the first worldwide VOD platform and inking deals with major MVPDs and other content providers. During his tenure there, Riley was responsible for creating solutions for C3 dynamic ad models, live-to-VOD Olympics coverage, as well as a national SVOD service. Riley was named the youngest inductee to the Cable Center’s “Cable TV Pioneers” in 2014.

Prior to Vubiquity, Riley worked with both AMC Networks and E! Entertainment Television, where he helped foster early deals with DirecTV and DISH.

“Jim has always been an industry thought leader and advocate for innovative solutions that meet the demands of a changing global media business, said Eddy Zervigon, former Morgan Stanley managing director and TVN board member. “As media deals grow increasingly complex and personalized TV evolves, I predict that Jim will apply his expertise to expand the Mediamorph value proposition and create monetization opportunities for content owners, providers, and distributors.”
