DEG’s Canon Club to Host Christie Hefner (MESA)

Members of the Media & Entertainment Services Alliance (MESA) and DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group (DEG) are invited guests to a fireside chat with Christie Hefner, the former chairwoman and CEO of Playboy Enterprises, June 9 in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Her 20 years on the job marks Hefner as the longest-serving female chair of a U.S. public company. Honored by “Fortune” magazine as one of the country’s most powerful women, she’s had executive level experience in both the private and public sectors. Her insights will be shared in a presentation moderated by Linda Deutsch, former reporter for the Associated Press who covered some of the biggest trials in Los Angeles history.

“We are delighted to have a forum where women can gather to empower and inspire one another,” said DEG president Amy Jo Smith. “Given Christie Hefner’s impressive background, we know she will be both an interesting and exciting speaker.”

Hefner’s presentation will be held at The Peninsula Beverly Hills, 9982 South Santa Monica Boulevard, at 4 p.m., with a reception to follow. The event is free for members of MESA and DEG ($50 for non members), with 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment and BBC among the host companies.
