10 CLIO Sports Winning Projects Feature Services by Deluxe (MESA)

The third annual CLIO Sports Awards were held last Thursday, and Deluxe’s creative companies earned a spate of awards at the ceremony from their involvement in 10 award-winning campaigns. CLIO Sports is an esteemed international competition honoring the best in sports marketing and advertising, and Deluxe’s Beast and Company 3 and were recognized for their involvement in numerous spots.

Company 3 earned quite a few wins at the event. Colorist Sofie Borup took home the Gold, Film for her work on Pepsi’s “Marshawn” ad. Senior Colorist Tom Poole earned four awards: Silver, Film for NBA’s “Hands,” Nike Golf’s “The Chase,” and Bank of America’s “Chevi” as well as taking home a Bronze, Film award for Powerade’s “Rose from Concrete.” Senior Colorist and Deluxe CCO Stefan Sonnenfeld took home a Silver, Film award for Nike’s “Last” spot. Senior Colorist Dave Hussey earned a Silver, Film for Kia Motors’ “USA Newspaper.” and Senior Colorist Tim Masick took earned a Bronze, Film for his work with Dick’s Sporting Goods’ “Tyler.”

NASCAR’s “Ready. Set. Race.” campaign, which featured editing services from Beast’s Adam Leibowitz and Bernardo Revilla, won the silver for best campaign. The campaign celebrating the launch of a new racing season featured a particular ad edited by Leibowitz, “It’s in Our Blood,” that took home silver in the film category. The ad celebrates the universally of sport, showing the impasse to race in everything from the racetrack to reaching for the remote.
