Deluxe’s Beast New York Builds Talent Roster with Editor Dan Maloney (MESA)

Deluxe creative editorial company Beast has added seasoned editor Dan Maloney to the talent roster of its New York facility. Maloney’s editorial experience spans over 16 years and includes a strong background in cutting comedy and documentary projects, with recent work for Gillette, ZocDoc, and Audi. “Signing Dan to Beast New York is a huge win for us. Dan’s highly-regarded editorial skills, which encompass everything from documentary-style and character-driven narratives to sharp comedic touches, are widely sought-after by agencies and brands. Moreover, his many years of experience in the business will lend additional depth and understanding to our client interactions as we continue to grow a remarkable team at Beast,” said Beast New York Executive Producer Melissa Lubin.

“Beast New York has undergone a number of changes in the past year with new management, including the addition of EP Melissa Lubin, who has already brought a great deal of positive change to the office. The chance to partner with her and start a new chapter for Beast New York was an exciting opportunity I couldn’t turn down,” Maloney shared.

Throughout his editorial career, Maloney has collaborated with top agencies including BBDO, The Martin Agency, and Grey as well as notable directors Speck/Gordon, the Perlorian Brothers, Phil Morrison, Mike Maguire, Steve Miller, Stacy Wall and Bennett Miller. He got his start cutting at The Whitehouse, earning a 2008 AICE Award for his Tide work and being named an emerging talent by Boards Magazine. He’s also spent time at Spotwelders, and was with Cut + Run before joining Beast. Maloney is currently working on a short documentary for Nowness directed by James Casey.
