Ooyala Adds New COO (MESA)

Video solutions firm Ooyala has named Mike Nikzad as its new chief operating officer, bringing on a business opps and engineering vet with more than 25 years experience. He’ll handle Ooyala’s daily business operations, covering product lifecycles from inception to deployment.
Nikzad comes to Ooyala from software-as-a-service (SaaS) company Syncplicity where he served as COO and was credited with helping grow the company’s sales to record levels in less than two years. He’s also held COO positions with EMC’s Consumer and Small Business division, as well as NewNet Communication Technologies.
