Convergent Risks Reaches its 75th Studio Vendor Engagement for the TPN Security Assessment Program (MESA)

Convergent Risks has reached its 75th confirmed engagement for studio vendor security assessments since the start of the Trusted Partner Network, “TPN”, program reinforcing the successful launch. “The number of engagements initiated by the vendor community to date affirms the importance of the TPN program for the media and entertainment community,” Chris Johnson, CEO and President of Convergent Risks commented. “We expect this number to double very soon once the requested applications are completed.”

The TPN provides an industry benchmark for security assessments and standards for companies working in media and entertainment. This is a major industry initiative and the TPN is supported by the MPAA, CDSA, ACE and their members.

Members came together to establish a single framework to evaluate vendor security consistently and also to avoid confusion within the vendor community. The TPN program is now gathering momentum with many vendors who are already beginning to participate.

Johnson added: “Cybercrime and piracy threats persist and the TPN is a proactive measure to help defend against this. We are a huge supporter of the TPN and are expanding our team of highly skilled assessors to meet the global capacity for future facility audit requests”. He went on to say: “There are many benefits to the vendors by taking part in the program not least in that a single assessment is then recognised by all the participating content owners which saves vendors time and cost.”
