MESA Member Webinar Week Ahead: April 20-24

There may not be an NAB Show with the week of April 20, but that isn’t stopping several companies from heading online to share news that would have come out of Las Vegas. Meanwhile, Veritone has several days’ worth of tech presentations lined up, 5th Kind will share new innovations with its CORE platform, and Caringo, Box and others have timely COVID-19 presentations ready to roll

Those are just a few of the online events members of the Media & Entertainment Services Alliance (MESA) will be holding the week of April 20-24, according to MESA’s global member e-calendar.

Here’s a look at what’s ahead:

Monday

• Monday will be a busy day for Amazon Web Services (AWS): along with webinars covering “Save Costs Running Kubernetes Clusters with EC2 Spot Instances,” “Hadoop 3.0 and Docker on Amazon EMR 6.0,” and “Infrastructure as Code on AWS,” the company will also be sharing what it’s had in the pipeline for the NAB Show, with an “AWS NAB News & Updates Online Event.”

• A week’s worth of insightful tech presentations kicks off for Veritone with the webinar “Demonstrate Performance and Justify ROI on Ad Spend.”

• Alibaba Cloud will offer an extremely timely presentation in “Solutions to Combat COVID-19 through Technology, AI and High Performance Computing.”

Tuesday

• Tape Ark will share insight into one of its favorite, recent case studies (The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame”) with the webinar “Preserving Your Most Valuable Collections to the Cloud.


• 5th Kind will share new features to its CORE platform, along with insights into how studios are benefiting from recent updates, in the webinar “5th Kind’s CORE – Adding Real-Time Collaboration to Your Secure Sharing Platform.”

• Box will hold a “coffee chat” with the CIO of United Talent Agency in the webinar “Remote For Real Coffee Chat – Michael Keithley, CIO, United Talent Agency (UTA).”

• The online tech talks from AWS continue: “How to Maximize Results with a Cloud Contact Center, Featuring Aberdeen Research,” “Connecting Microcontrollers to the Cloud for IoT Applications,” and “Reducing Machine Learning Inference Cost for PyTorch Models” are all on the docket.

• Veritone’s week of tech webinars continues with “Win Back Dollars and Prove ROI with AI-Powered Ad Intelligence for Radio.”

• Alibaba Cloud hosts a trio of webinars: “Helping SMEs Riding the Wave of Digital Transformation,” “Alibaba Cloud Financial Services Solutions,” and “Alibaba Cloud Tech Show: Alibaba Cloud Technology Strategy.”

Wednesday

• Birlasoft will hold its webinar “How to Leverage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to Accelerate Enterprise Applications.”

• EditShare will bookend the day with two webinars: “EditShare Extends Collaborative Editing into the Cloud with EFSv – Session 1” and “EditShare Extends Collaborative Editing into the Cloud with EFSv – Session 2.”

• All day long, look for a variety of insights via “Zendesk Virtual Training Days.”

• OWNZONES will hold a unique training webinar in “IMF 101 Tutorial Session hosted by the IMF User Group.”

• MicroStrategy’s Virtual Symposium Series continues with “Analyst Viewpoint: Using Analytics to Provide Business Continuity for Your Customers.”

• Veritone will host a pair of Wednesday webinars: “Hyper Indexed + Highly Intelligent Content for Linear TV and VOD” and “Turn Unstructured Content into Readily Accessible Moments.”

• For the Australian crowd, Microsoft Azure will host the webinar “Extend Azure Management Anywhere with Azure Arc.”

• All day, online users are encouraged to attend Alibaba Cloud’s “Digital Alibaba Cloud Day APAC,” along with the morning Pacific webinar “China’s MLPS 2.0 Insights and Alibaba Cloud’s Cybersecurity Solutions for Foreign Companies.”

• 5th Kind hosts its second webinar of the week “What’s New? Simplifying Your Digital Asset Management Experience.”

• AWS hosts two webinars: “Building Your First Application with AWS Lambda” and “Top 10 Security Items to Improve in Your AWS Account.”

Thursday

• Caringo hosts the timely webinar “Video Production & Broadcasting in Social-Distancing Era: What’s Here to Stay? Brews & Bytes Webcast, Episode 4.”

• SAP’s Platform in the Garage Series continues with the webinar “Business Work & Business Rules.”

• “Zendesk Virtual Training Days” continue, running 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

• Starting at 7 a.m. and running into the afternoon, Alibaba Cloud hosts its “Digital Alibaba Cloud Day APAC.”

• AWS hosts three events Thursday: “Persistent Storage for Containers with Amazon EFS,” “Build Event Driven Graph Applications with AWS Purpose-Built Databases,” and “Migrate with AWS.”

• Veritone’s week of webinars concludes with “Power Contextual Advertising at Scale and Enable Brand Safety.”

• Tape Ark will end the day with the webinar “Demystifying the Challenge – Legacy Backup Tape Collections in the Cloud.”
