M&E Day: EIDR’s Welch Touts 2.5 Update (MESA)

During the July Global Media & Entertainment Day event, Kip Welch, executive director of EIDR, shared details around the recent launch of EIDR 2.5, touting its new de-duplication software system, a complete move to the cloud, and increased efficiencies.
“We’re going to be doing more updates going forward, with continued improvement, including around how we process edits,” Welch said.
Digital platforms worldwide are building EIDR into automation systems, he added, and the 2.5 upgrade sets the stage for EIDR’s eventual 3.0 offering.
