5th Kind’s CORE Scores NAB Product of the Year

Digital workflow specialist 5th Kind is celebrating an NAB Show Product of the Year Award, in the category of Asset Management, Automation, and Playout, with the National Association of Broadcasters honoring the company’s CORE digital asset and workflow orchestration offering.

The award offers a nod to CORE product developments this year, geared toward easing the remote work process, with 5th Kind adding a CORE Sync collaboration tool, and other integrated features, with the company working with the Entertainment Technology Center at USC (ETC@USC) “Ripple Effect” project, a collaboration of studios and partners that accelerated product development and expanded CORE’s remote production services in the cloud.

“We are ecstatic to receive this award,” said 5th Kind CEO and founder Steve Cronan. “It acknowledges the achievements we’ve made this year by pivoting our focus to remote workflows for production, and collaborating with partners and clients to create tools they most need right now.”

5th Kind COO Robert Crotty added: “Given the nature of how we’re all working these days, digital asset management and content security take on a whole new dimension. These new features both extend and underscore our promise to our clients and partners that their assets and communications are safe within CORE.”

A metadata-based asset system, CORE gives clients the ability to build out taxonomies and create a unified structure that orchestrates their workflows end-to-end, allowing teams to manage any number of workflows, collaborate globally and communicate in real-time.

The award will be presented during the virtual NAB Show New York on Oct. 20. Click here to learn more.
