KlarisIP Adds Chief Commercial Officer

KlarisIP has brought on Marc Riccio, a well-known sports and entertainment executive, to join the team as Chief Commercial Officer.

The position is charged with leading all commercial activities including growth, acquisitions, business development, strategic communication, and expanding capabilities in collegiate and professional sports, esports and video gaming, and will report to Edward Klaris, CEO.

Marc’s experience includes leading his own consultant business, MR21 Advisory, where he advised global esports and gaming companies. Prior to that role, Marc was the Executive Vice President of Commercial for Lagardère Sports (now known as Sportfive), a full-service global sports agency. Additionally, Marc spent 17 seasons leading business development and operations within the NFL for the New York Jets, and worked for Hofstra University, leading marketing and development for intercollegiate athletics.

Marc’s 30 years of experience have led to specialties in media, fan engagement, sport and entertainment business operations, building new companies, revenue generation, executive leadership, and employee development. He has launched and consulted for several startups, and has also taught as an Associate Adjunct Professor at Hofstra University. Marc continues to advise and mentor in the technology and esports VC accelerator community.
