Submissions Open for 14th Annual Media Excellence Awards

Submissions are open for the 14th annual Media Excellence Awards, with a discounted rate for submission available until Sept. 1.
“As everyone starts to move forward post pandemic, the MEAs are excited to re-open submissions again and welcome innovators, leaders and those who have spent this past year creating, developing and launching new products and companies in mobile technology, breakthroughs, innovation and entertainment,” the MEA announced. “We look forward to seeing more leadership come into the market as we continue to move forward together, both as a community and an industry.”
Awards categories include three premiere awards:
• Humanitarian Award: Awarded to the company that rose above the rest in their industry, effectively impacting their community through philanthropic and social campaigns or initiatives using technology.
• Social Awareness Award: Awarded to the company that utilised a component of mobile technology to improve a community, ecosystem or economic welfare.
• Industry Star Award: Awarded to the company that best defined groundbreaking and innovative technologies which changed the way consumers interact with businesses to enhance their everyday lives.
Category exclusive awards include start-ups, international, Breakout Trend of the Year, cryptocurrency and commerce, delivery platform, user experience, best mobile product, entertainment-related marketing campaign, original content, branded experience, AI, analytics and big data, connected daily lifestyle, live streaming, apps, sports, games, VR and AR.
Augmented Reality – Honoured to the company for delivering, programming, creating or enhancing a truly immersive experience to consumers through augmented reality.
Virtual Reality – Honoured to the company for delivering, programming or creating an immersive virtual reality experience focused on original story telling, visual effects or other exciting experiences.
