BBC Studios Tackles Production Security Challenges at CPS

At the April 17 Content Protection Summit at NAB (CPS@NAB), being held at the SAHARA Theater in Las Vegas, a pair of experts from BBC Studios will share the latest strategies for tackling today’s production security challenges.

Richard Lloyd, senior production product manager, and Alex Pickering, content security chief, will walk attendees through practical use cases that were created during the pandemic, that will remain part of all productions in the future, in the presentation] “Addressing Security Challenges in Production.”

Complexity has always been a part of production but is usually reserved for logistics and talent. However, as the amount of advanced technology used in pre-, on/near-set or post-production increases exponentially it is critical for studios and production houses to ensure these systems remain secure.

This session looks at both the measures taken, and the platforms impacted by this evolution, as the volume of feature/episodic production remains at an all-time high.

Since 2018, the Content Delivery & Security Association (CDSA) has gathered the security community in Las Vegas during NAB for the Content Protection Summit. The afternoon of keynotes, panels and industry insights will examine the entire entertainment supply chain. The event will be both in-person and online in the MESAVerse, MESA’s virtual work environment for its members and communities.

The 2023 Content Protection Summit is presented by Fortinet and sponsored by Convergent Risks, Signiant, Verimatrix, Eluvio, NAGRA, PDG Consulting and EIDR. The event is produced by MESA, in association with the Content Delivery and Security Association (CDSA).
