Marijke Somers and Manon van der Hoek have been appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Commercial & Legal Affairs respectively for Northern Europe. They will both report to Georgette Schlick, CEO of Northern Europe.

Marijke Somers has been with Fremantle since March 2023, as interim CFO for the Nordics and Poland. Effective from today, she will be responsible for all countries in Northern Europe, including the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Poland. Before joining Fremantle, Marijke was working as a registered accountant with PwC and held various financial and strategic positions at Phillips-Van Heusen, WE Fashion, RTL Nederland and other companies. At RTL Nederland she directed the finance team as Manager Finance & Control.

In her new position as Chief Commercial & Legal Affairs Northern Europe, Manon van der Hoek will be responsible for all commercial and legal matters of the various Fremantle labels in Northern Europe. Manon van der Hoek is also chair of the Vereniging van Nederlandse Content Producenten (NCP) [Association of Dutch Content Producers].

Georgette Schlick commented on the appointment of Marijke Somers and Manon van der Hoek: “Both Marijke and Manon have unique talents.
