The event takes place in Valletta, Malta from June 17-21.
Tailored for MSc and PhD students, as well as game developers, this event serves as a platform to expand knowledge and harness AI methods.
Innovation at Keywords Studios is the official co-organiser of the 2024 Summer School. Stephen Peacock, Head of Games AI at Keywords Studios, emphasises, “Games and AI research share a rich history, making it imperative to support the next generation of AI researchers and ignite their enthusiasm for industry advancements. This year’s venue in Malta, also home to Keywords studios Electric Square and Sperasoft, promises an immersive experience. Co-founder of the Summer School, Georgios Yannakakis, remarks, “We’re delighted to welcome Keywords Studios as a co-organiser and anticipate an exciting program for 2024.”
The event features lectures on cutting-edge AI techniques and a game industry summit, featuring talks and workshops from industry leaders such as Ubisoft, Massive Entertainment, Microsoft, and Arm, alongside renowned independent game AI developers.
With additional partners joining, including Modl.ai, the event offers invaluable insights and networking opportunities for seasoned professionals and graduate students specialising in games, AI, UX, or human-computer interaction.
