OOONA Partners with Convergent Risks to Launch Security Course for the Media and Entertainment Industry

OOONA announces its collaboration with Convergent Risks to introduce a new security course for the media and entertainment industry.

Convergent Risks is the leading provider of TPN security assessments and threat assessment testing.

Its mission is to help safeguard media and entertainment clients against calculated security risks and to best prepare them to respond to the unforeseen in case of a particular threat or actual security event.

“Proactive staff security training is paramount in order to mitigate most common security threats,” says Mathew Gilliat-Smith, EVP at Convergent Risks. “Our collaboration with OOONA on its revamped educational platform is a sensible avenue to provide comprehensive training on security threats at a global scale. We believe this initiative will provide a common set of security training best practices that apply to all full-time staff and freelancers working in the M&E sector, meeting the needs of content owners and addressing common studio requirements.”

OOONA EDU, the latest addition to OOONA’s industry-leading solutions for the media and entertainment market, is a cloud-based training platform built on Moodle.

It offers a robust learning management system that allows educators to create personalised learning environments.

Hosting a variety of self-paced courses, webinars and workshops specifically designed for media professionals, OOONA EDU aims to address the evolving needs of the sector.

“We are pleased to relaunch OOONA EDU,” comments Wayne Garb, OOONA co-founder and CEO. “The platform caters to the diverse training requirements of media companies and language service providers, empowering media professionals to enhance their profiles and excel in the market. Our collaboration with Convergent Risks is key to this effort. Security is a cornerstone in today’s media landscape and Convergent Risks has the expertise needed to ensure creatives are well-informed and protected against cybersecurity threats, authentication issues, data breaches, incident response protocols and reporting procedures.”
