Entertainment Evolution Symposium Joins HITS Spring Lineup

As part of the Hollywood Innovation & Transformation Summit (HITS), being held May 22 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, Pepperdine Graziadio School of Business will bring the Entertainment Evolution Symposium (EES), featuring a series of presentations demonstrating the latest disruptive technologies the industry is facing.

The EES portion of the program will begin with opening remarks by the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School’s Nelson Granados, executive director, Doug Warner, co-director, Amy Zwagerman, program manager, and Claudio Ludovisi, assistant dean, marketing, strategy, and corporate relations.

They’ll be followed by a kickoff panel with the creators of entertainment and media site “The Ankler.” They’ll give attendees their unique perspective on how disrupted the business REALLY is and where we can find our center as Hollywood reacts to the game-changing technologies on its doorstep. Writers Elaine Low and Sean McNulty lead the daily conversation online and have their ear to the ground across many communities (greenlight, creative, tech, packaging, etc.).

Their insights into what the heartbeat of Hollywood is saying are grounded in truth.

Also on the EES agenda is the keynote conversation “Unlocking Content Discovery (and Consumers) with AI” with Fay Kallel, director of GenAI innovation for Prime Video.

How do we upscale discovery and drive the future of customer satisfaction through AI-driven experiences? How do we use GenAI as a tool for our consumers that their activities and interactions are levered by your LLM to create a new experience? Explore how cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies are reshaping interactions, personalizing services, and anticipating needs like never before.

Join us as we delve into AI as connective tissue for innovative technology that reshapes the landscape of customer engagement, ensuring unforgettable experiences that set your brand apart. Learn the latest and stay ahead of the curve as we revolutionize your approach to customer relationships.

The central theme of HITS Spring is “Where Artificial Intelligence meets Automation + Integration.”

The pace of the constant innovations and transformations in media and entertainment, across all aspects of content creation and distribution, from advanced workflows to evolving industry technology requirements, can be a challenge for even the most tech-savvy among us.

This year’s HITS will again address artificial intelligence but through the lens of our global entertainment supply chain.  Since the start of HITS in 2010 we have focused this community on the increased use of platforms and APIs to provide a more fluid interface for the “other” AI (automation and integration)!

This year’s HITS is co-located with EES and Women in Technology: Hollywood. EES is the annual gathering of industry innovators and thought leaders, all discussing the use of data to effectively blend physical and digital experiences across the global entertainment ecosystem. WiTH brings their community’s leadership vision to the main stage at HITS to update their community in the Spring while on the way to their SoCal Women’s Leadership Summit in the fall.

HITS Spring is presented by Box, with sponsorship by Fortinet, SHIB, AMD, Brightspot, Grant Thornton, MicroStrategy, the Trusted Partner Network, the Content Delivery & Security Association (CDSA) and EIDR, and is produced by MESA in partnership with the Pepperdine Graziadio School of Business.
