We currently have an opening for a Network Engineer. This position will be located in Burbank, CA.

SUMMARY:
The Network Engineer, working closely with Senior Network Engineering, is responsible for the planning, engineering and support of network infrastructure. This position is a resource for implementation, validating designs with Senior Network Engineering and Architecture team, maintenance and support of LAN, WAN, and network security for the corporate and production networks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist with network design and implementation of switches, router and firewalls from multiple manufactures.
• Installs and configures necessary network monitoring and management devices for LANs, MANs and WANs.
• Maintains documentation regarding network configurations, operating procedures and service records relating to hardware and software.
• Implements and manage Cisco Wireless Access Points (WAPs).
• Perform regular network and firewall monitoring to identify potential intrusions or high utilizations.
• Manage tasks and projects in the Deluxe ticketing system.
• Participate in after business hour support and incident, response escalations.
• Work with colleagues to meet team goals and improve processes and practices.
• May be required to perform additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
Core Skills / Requirements
• Knowledge and experience with configuration and operations of Cisco and Juniper switches and routers.
• Strong understanding of network fundamentals (e.g., Ethernet, TCP/IP, IP addressing, VLANs etc.)
• Good understanding of network protocols (e.g., VRRP, BGP, OSPF, ISIS) MPLS is a plus.
• Experience troubleshooting, and supporting network equipment from various manufactures.
• Detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent client relationship skills.
• Excellent documentation skills using Microsoft Office Suite including Visio for network documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Eager to learn new and unfamiliar technologies and products.
• Works well in a fast paced environment with tight timelines for deliverables.
• Available after hours and weekends as needed and willing to work on-call rotation
