Dolby creates and markets innovative technologies that enhance the audio and video entertainment experience in Broadcast and OTT (Over the Top) streaming services. OTT services are becoming more relevant in the Emerging Markets, both through global service providers and innovative local players. Dolby has an opportunity to help our partners evolve and improve the experience they deliver to their customers, both in the living room and on the go (mobile)

The Senior Product Marketing Manager will develop and deliver strategies that integrate existing and new Dolby audio technologies into OTT services to create value for our operator, platform, and supply chain partners. This position has a specific focus on the Emerging Markets which, for the purposes of this role, includes South East Asia, India, Middle East, Africa and Latin America.

The position requires a technically fluent business manager with demonstrated success in the video streaming service market. Ideally from a OTT service provider or OTT technology provider background, this individual contributor possesses a vision for the evolution of entertainment consumption across devices and the business acumen to identify the right opportunities that delivers value to both Dolby and our partners. The role will require deep cross-functional and cross-cultural collaboration, the ability to clearly articulate complex technical and commercial concepts, and cultivate influence without authority.

There is a relevant implementation component to the role, which consists in working with the local team to discover opportunities and execute against them. It does require a level of hands-on commitment

Responsibilities:

Understand Dolby’s audio value proposition to the OTT ecosystem and adapt it to the Emerging Markets reality and limitations
Develop sales and training materials to effectively communicate the value proposition
Engage internally with CP partners and BG peers, and externally with operators and platform providers, to identify opportunities for Dolby’s audio technologies adoption
Work with the technical teams to identify implementation roadblocks and their solutions
Provide coordinated deal execution support from Dolby Headquarters to facilitate closure on deals and to provide the procedural expertise for the Regions
Develop creative solutions to the unique Emerging Markets challenges. Options could come from new business models, new positioning / value proposition, or new products / services

Qualifications:

5-7 years of experience of product marketing or business development experience in the digital entertainment industry
Demonstrated fluency with Digital Media delivery technologies, specifically OTT ecosystems, from content management to distribution to playback devices
Track-record of implementing / deploying new technologies; from communicating the value proposition to commercial execution to product launch
Experience on Emerging Markets highly desirable
Ability to demonstrate strong critical reasoning capability. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English plus ability to work independently and interact with senior executives from our partners
BS in Engineering or related technical discipline. Advanced degree in Business Administration an advantage, but not required.
Ability to travel 15-30% of time, usually international
Flexible hours, as working with teams located in Africa, Middle East, India, South East Asia and Latin America often requires conference calls early mornings or evenings
