Senior Software Engineer – Content Production, Promotion Data Platform

The team
The content production and promotion team is responsible for building the systems that help our creative partners store, track and manage every single asset that is used in promoting our content, both on and off the service. From artwork to trailers to banner ads to billboards, we are responsible for the technology behind the lifecycle and management of those assets.
What you’ll be doing
Core to the mission of the content production and promotion team is our ability to track where our assets are being used and how efficient they are. The key to doing this is building a data infrastructure that allows us to catalog and organize data across a number of systems, both internal tools at Netflix and external platforms like Facebook, YouTube or AdWords. Building and organizing the graph of all the entities across these platforms and systems and making it scale is the biggest challenge our team faces and we need your help to solve it!
What makes you a great fit
We’re looking for someone who has proven experience as a software engineer using one or more object oriented languages to develop web service applications. Our systems are primarily used by internal employees or contracted creative agencies, so experience working on enterprise applications is a plus. This is a data and infrastructure heavy team, so a strong working knowledge of databases and data models is essential. If you’re familiar with the programmatic advertising domain, that’s a huge plus, but if not, you’ll learn that on the job.
