Join AWS to help mobile developers build great cloud-backed apps! As a member of the AWS Mobile team, you will develop services which cater to the needs of mobile developers who build apps for iOS, Android, Kindle, and the mobile web.

In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, implementing and expanding features, services and core components of a brand new service – Device Farm. Device Farm enables mobile developers to run their iOS, Android and FireOS apps and test on our cloud of mobile devices.

As a Software Developer on Device Farm you will also be integrating with a wide range of existing AWS infrastructure to deliver large-scale, high-throughput distributed services consumed by mobile developers. We expect all team members to actively participate in product definition, technical architecture review, iterative development, code review, and operations. Along with this, you will interact with customers (mobile developers) to ensure their needs are met; clear, professional communication with developer customers is an important part of the job.

Responsibilities will include:
– Collaborating on system architecture and new product features
– Designing and implementing highly scalable cloud computing and mobile services
– Delivering working prototypes and proof-of-concepts for iterative development
– Troubleshooting customer issues and communicating with customers

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:
• 5+ years design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications
• Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
• Experience communicating across internal and external organizations
• Technical degree required (BS in Computer Science or related)
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Experience working with mobile app development and test automation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications
• Professional experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
• Proficiency on one OO language (Java, C++, C#, Python)
• Mobile app development background (Objective C, Swift, Android app development experience)
