Cognizant to Stress AI-Data Benefits at 5 Nov. Smart Content Summit EU

With the assistance of AI, data around the pandemic has allowed researchers and governments to make accurate, real-time forecasts, future analyses, and action recommendations.

Players in the media and entertainment industry can look at what’s been done in the area of AI-driven forecasting for COVID-19 to tackle questions for their businesses, according to Peter Elvidge, director of media and entertainment for Cognizant, who’ll present the breakout session “Is Your Data Pulling its Weight?” at the 5th November Smart Content Summit EU event.

“Attendees will learn about evolutionary AI, what it is and how it can be applied practically; where your data may be hiding, tips on how to look and then use it; and where to begin with data and AI and how not to get fired!” Elvidge said.

M&E firms can use AI to help guide them on everything from what is their revenue maximising release strategy, what will minimise churn for subscribers, and how to best minimise any waste in their ad inventory allocation. Maybe most importantly, attendees will learn they have all the data they need, but they haven’t figured out how to unlock it from silos or uncover it in their content.

Smart Content Summit EU is produced by MESA and MESA Europe, in association with CDSA, HITS and the Smart Content Council, which meets regularly to share best practices, evaluate emerging technologies and collaborate to accelerate the pace of transformation in our industry. The summit is sponsored by ATMECS, Cognizant, Deluxe, Digital Nirvana, Éclair, Eluvio, Iyuno Media Group, MediaNext, NAGRA, Premiere Digital, Whip Media Group, AppTek, and EIDR.
