MESA Member Webinar Week Ahead: May 23-27

Key Code Media continues its post-NAB tour, MESA’s “Lunch and Learn” specials continue, and Bluescape continues its live training sessions offering users insights on building customized virtual spaces.

Those are just a couple of the events from the MESA community the week of April 23-29, according to MESA’s global member e-calendar.

Here’s a look at what’s ahead:

Tuesday:

• Key Code Media is bringing the best of the 2022 NAB Show back to Chicago on Tuesday, May 24 at JW Marriot Chicago. As well as over 30 leading vendors showing the latest in media & entertainment technology, come for the education, great food and drink and the chance to mix and mingle with fellow video professionals from the area.

Wednesday:

• Whether working remotely or in the same room, setting up the right workflow to build ideas into deliverables is crucial to any project.

That’s why the Bluescape Community is hosting live training sessions to show users how to build a customized virtual space to smooth out collaboration processes, centralize work, and stay in lockstep with teams around the world.

You don’t have to be a Bluescape user to get value from these sessions! We gather live feedback and share best practices to improve:

–Brainstorming and discovery
–Review and approval processes
–Project and asset management

Anyone is welcome to attend. We encourage you to invite producers, coordinators, creatives, and aspiring super organizers in your organization. Join the May 25 live session.

The first session in the Build in Bluescape series focused on organizing ideas in a collaborative workspace. Community Team Lead Stefanie Olesh kicked off by introducing “Project Mars,” a figurative animation project that will be mapped out from start to finish in Bluescape.

The premise of “Project Mars” began at a very high level: an alien life force comes to earth and must adapt to our society. Who is the alien character? What will it do when it gets here?
Stefanie built a mind map in real-time to capture free-flowing ideas from the audience, while other members of the Bluescape Community used emojis to vote on crowd favorites.

In the first few minutes of the session, the main character of “Project Mars” was taking shape.

As more story elements were introduced, Stefanie showed tips and tricks for organizing the workspace and getting it ready to share with others. From inspiration boards to kickoffs to review sessions where images and videos are pixel perfect, Bluescape is an ideal space to create and collaborate with the team. Learn more about Bluescape.

You can also join “Project Mars” by signing up for the next live session, “How to Huddle Effectively with Your Team & Work.” The third and final session of Build in Bluescape will be all about managing your projects like a pro, so you won’t want to miss that either! Once you register, you’ll be sent the calendar invites for the rest of the series. See you there!

Thursday:

• Key Code Media is bringing the best of the AV, broadcast, and postproduction tech industry back to Detroit on Thursday, May 26 at The International Banquet & Conference Center. Over 30 top solutions showcasing technology, and masterclass skill sessions. Come for the technology, education, and the chance to mix and mingle with fellow professionals from the area.

• On May 26, MESA’s weekly “Lunch and Learn” event continues with Richard Atkinson, president of the Content Delivery & Security Association (CDSA).

MESA’s “Lunch and Learn” is held every Thursday via the MESAverse platform and Zoom, and intended to bring MESA members together to network, share and learn. The MESAverse is MESA’s virtual work environment for its members and communities to watch live presentations, network, and step on the stage to share opinions. MESAverse is using ICVR’s RendezVu https://icvr.io , a proprietary, interactive 3D-world application that will allow for hybrid live and virtual events and regular day-to-day interactions that go far beyond video conferencing.
