MESA Member Webinar Week Ahead: March 13-17

Adobe kicks off its Summit event in Las Vegas, ELUV.IO announces winners of a new contest in Austin, and Dolby hosts a pair of webinars to address remote productions and immersive experiences.

Those are just a few of the events from the MESA community the week of March 13-17, according to MESA’s global member e-calendar.

Here’s a look at what’s ahead:

Tuesday:

• Amazon Web Services hosts its IMAGINE: Non-profit event in Washington, D.C. The IMAGINE: Non-profit conference is a no-cost event that brings together non-profit leaders, purpose-focused technologists, and innovators to discuss how technology can help drive a positive impact for both people and the planet. This in-person event combines inspirational thought leadership sessions, partner showcases, and networking opportunities for technology-curious impact makers.

• CommScope hosts “Demystifying Public Broadband Funding,” featuring tips and insights to help speed and streamline your path to government and municipal funding for FTTH projects. Billions in federal and state funding is available for broadband infrastructure projects through a range of public and municipal programs. This creates a substantial opportunity for service providers as they plan new fibre to the home (FTTH) projects that bring broadband for everyone one step closer to reality. In this webinar, CommScope’s experts share their knowledge and research to help service providers navigate the broadband funding process quickly, confidently, and successfully.

• Dolby presents “How to Master Remote Production.” Learn how Dolby.io can help enable your remote production workflows. Whether you are doing remote post-production with a dispersed team or remotely producing a live event, Dolby.io Real-time Streaming enables your workflows with sub 500ms latency, broadcast quality, remote monitoring, and a host of other features to ensure seamless collaboration. This webinar will be led by Ryan Jespersen, Director of Product Strategy here at Dolby.io and author of the recently published Streaming Media article “How to Master Remote Production.” He will be joined by leaders from companies that are building amazing remote production experiences using Dolby.io!

Wednesday:

• Vistex hosts “The Anatomy of Price Optimization: Practical Examples in Life Sciences.” Determining the right price is difficult, but determining the optimal price is even harder. Join us for a 30-minute session where we’ll analyse how data science can help you maximise revenue and profit when defining the optimal price. You’ll discover how to accomplish this along different processes, from defining your list price to the optimal price on complex quotes and offers through different mechanisms using algorithms. During this learning session, we’ll see a practical example of how algorithms and technology can support contract manufacturing organisations (CMO/CDMOs) to define the optimal price for quotes.

• Dolby hosts “Drive Engagement by Creating an Immersive Audience Experience.” We invite you to join us and learn how Dolby.io can help you drive audience engagement by adding Dolby-quality audio and video to your Live Events platform and stream it to viewers worldwide in less than 500 milliseconds. We’re also going to be joined by a group of founders and CEOs to hear what they think the future of online and hybrid events looks like, and what end users care about the most.

• EPAM Systems hosts “Preparing for What’s Next: Modern Digital Commerce Strategy, Marketing and Operational Excellence for HCLS Practitioners,” an exclusive dinner and discussion for Bay Area senior executives at the San Francisco Italian Athletic Club.

Thursday:

• Wasabi hosts “More Than Just Archives: How to Future-Proof and Utilise Your Media Archives.” For modern media organisations, the ideal archive solution is one that balances affordability with accessibility. On-premise storage is too precious to waste on archival data, the space on which is both expensive and in demand for performance intensive workloads. There’s no easy solace in the cloud either: cold storage tiers hide costly retrieval fees and glacial performance behind low monthly rates. Low-touch media might not be needed often, but when it is you won’t want to wait days to retrieve it and be raked over the coals as you do. The challenge for an ideal archive solution is holding these factors in balance and creating an archive solution that breaks none of these three laws: 1) per-TB costs remain low enough to justify storing large amounts of data for long periods of time, 2) the data must remain accessible when needed, and 3) retrieval must be predictable and repeatable. In this webinar, you’ll hear from Wasabi experts on how to create an active archive strategy and assess real examples of customer experiences with varied archive strategies.

Saturday:

• Eluvio will announce the results of an SXSW contest in Austin with Vibe Stream Network (VSN) to showcase and reward “extremely talented and under-recognised” (ETU) artists. The “ETU” competition will identify and reward talented rising digital creators with opportunities to directly distribute their work. The winning contest entries will be featured on the “ETU” digital store sponsored for up to $50,000 of purchases by Eluvio’s Top 100 collectors, and will be featured on VSN’s new platform, Vibe Stream Interactive Radio (VSIR), powered by Eluvio. All entries will have the option to sell their work on the “ETU” store.

Sunday:

• Adobe Summit launches in Las Vegas. Expand your skill-set, spark inspiration, and build connections that empower you to make the digital economy personal. For those unable to attend the world-class event in Vegas, join us virtually from anywhere for free.
