MESA Member Webinar Week Ahead: Feb. 5-9

HAND (Human & Digital) holds its first-ever webinar, SHI talks generative AI, and Perforce details how NASA is using its technology.

Here’s what the MESA community has planned the week of Feb. 5-9, according to MESA’s global member e-calendar.

Wednesday:

• HAND (Human & Digital) will host its first-ever webinar, “Challenges and Opportunities in AI Talent Utilisation.” Moderated by Will Kreth, HAND CEO and former executive director of EIDR, and Muki Kulhan, innovation co-lead of the IBC Accelerator program, the 1.5-hour event aims to offer valuable insights into the mostly uncharted landscape of AI for talent in the entertainment industry. Industry experts will touch on several crucial topics, including AI talent utilisation, deepfake authentication, AI talent monetisation, and the ethical and legal considerations of AI’s impact on talent, and how AI will impact Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) rights and compensation.

• Perforce presents “Mission to Mars: Building NASA’s Digital Twin with Helix Core and Unreal Engine.” Louisiana State University (LSU) and tech solutions provider Sev1Tech are taking on a tremendous challenge: creating digital twin of NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans using real-time technology. This digital twin enables NASA to create data-driven models that replace time and cost intensive real-world design testing — and they’re using Unreal Engine and Perforce Helix Core to build it. Don’t miss this behind the scenes look at how these teams are digitally replicating the NASA facility behind the mission that will someday send the first astronauts to Mars.

Thursday:

• SHI offers up “Establishing an Enterprise Generative AI Program: SHI’s Lessons Learned.” Generative AI will revolutionise the way businesses operate, but many business and technology leaders are unsure about how to leverage it safely and effectively at their organisations. At SHI, we have real-life experience navigating this uncharted path to successful adoption of Generative AI and we want to share our learnings, the good and the bad, to help our customers unlock the same productivity gains that we have experienced.
