Eluvio’s Munson Highlights FAST Distribution at ITS: Automation

At the 15 September ITS: Automation event, being held during IBC at the W Amsterdam, Eluvio CEO and founder Michelle Munson will tackle one of the bigger industry stories of 2023: the explosive growth of free-and-ad-supported content channels (FAST).

Her presentation — “Automated Distribution for FAST Channels and Live Video” — will examine how content publishers are searching for ways to rise above the “noise floor” of traditional ad insertion with superior engagement and returns, and to find the way out from under the expensive and complex pipelines of media clouds and content distribution networks (CDNs) that have trapped the industry for the last decade or more.

ITS: Automation Event Offers Latest on Cloud Localization Blueprint

The 15 September ITS: Automation event being held during IBC at the W Amsterdam will see a host of discussions covering the role of automation in media and entertainment today, including its impact on one of the big surprises from the 2022 IBC Show: the Cloud Localization Blueprint (CLB).

In the discussion “Cloud Localization Blueprint II (What’s Next?)” Caroline Baines, senior director of MESA’s Content Localisation Council, and Mary Yurkovic, director of MESA’s Smart Content Council, examine the next phase of Fabric’s Cloud Localisation Blueprint, which was featured as an accelerator project at last year’s IBC. Now, in collaboration with MESA and the Content Localisation Council, new participants are coming together with the same objective of creating stable workflows with a cloud-based solution.

Authenticated Metadata Spec Unveiled at ITS: Automation

The who’s who of media and entertainment have banded together to tackle one of the industry’s most difficult challenges: the consistent, efficient management and delivery of accurate metadata for content.

Media and entertainment catalogue management firm Fabric is collaborating with IMDb, FOX Entertainment, Paramount, ITV, EIDR and Xperi to solve this problem at IBC 2023 with the unveiling of the Authenticated Data Specification (ADS) Accelerator Project.
