A New Streamer Launches in … Ukraine?!

War isn’t stopping Ukrainian TV channel 1+1 from launching its own SVOD service. The domestic TV producer is launching 1+1 Video, the first OTT offering in the country, operated by 1+1 Media, one of Ukraine’s leading media groups, according to media and entertainment data science firm BB Media.

It’s one of eight new streaming services launched in August, according to BB’s monthly Multiscreen+ report.

Two other new platforms launched in Europe, including TV4 Play in Sweden (replacing the brand C More, an advertising-funded SVOD), and the new OTT offering iNES in Romania.

In Latin America, Peru saw the launch of Moviestar TV App Max, which includes both Disney+ and Star+, and TV360, which is free for three months. Meanwhile, Riivi expanded in both Mexico and Chile. Brazil saw the launch of CN Plus and NE10 Play, while Lionsgate announced it was withdrawing Lionsgate+ and Starz from the Latin America market altogether by the end of the year.

For North America, both NASA+ and TCL TV Plus were announced as upcoming, while Warner Discovery’s Max shared it will soon live streaming sports and news.
