CPS EU: Content Owners, Vendors Point the Way to Post-Pandemic Security

The last year-plus saw a global shift in how both consumers and workers interacted with technology, with a greater dependency on mobile devices and more time spent on all screens in the home. And behind those screens, cybersecurity experts also faced a complex landscape, one that will likely remain even when COVID-19 ends.

How cybersecurity advances beyond today’s keys and audio masking devices, the likelihood of security innovation evolving in collaboration with major players, and minimizing the risk to your most valuable assets at every turn, all will be addressed 29th June during the inaugural Content Protection Summit Europe event, brings together the top minds in cybersecurity and content protection to discuss the current trajectory of worldwide mobile security.

Following welcome remarks from Chris Johnson, CEO and president of Convergent Risks, Clint Watts, senior fellow at the Centre for Cyber and Homeland Security at George Washington University, a Foreign Policy Research Institute fellow, and a national security contributor for NBC News and MSNBC, will deliver the keynote address, “How Do You Survive in a Social Media World of Hackers, Terrorists and Authoritarians?”

Watts will bring his extensive knowledge around terrorism, counterterrorism, social media influence, and Russian dis-information to the stage to discuss how countries, corporations and citizens alike can survive in today’s social media world, where hackers and authoritarians are a constant presence.

Next, in the presentation “What Keeps Us Awake at Night: The Challenge of Remote Work in Creative M&E Workflows,” Mathew Gilliat-Smith, EVP of Convergent Risks will lead a discussion with Dr. Andrew Blyth, a computer forensics specialist, Oxford University lecturer, and professor and director of the Information Security Research Group at the University of South Wales.

The first panel of the day, “The Evolution of Security in Media & Entertainment,” features CDSA’s Richard Atkinson, Guy Finley, James Maysonet, and Ben Stanbury, along with Chris Taylor, director of ME-ISAC, while the panel “CDSA’s App & Cloud Control Framework” has Adobe’s Todd Burke, Technicolor’s Micah Littleton, Microsoft Azure’s Joel Sloss and CDSA’s Ben Schofield discussing a unique approach to addressing application and cloud security in media and entertainment.

“Minimizing Risk in Global Consumer Products, Copyright and Licensing” has Disney’s Cyril Abdi, Amazon Studios’ Eugene Tang and The LEGO Group’s Henrik Skov discussing the work going on behind the scenes in M&E to drive best practices across the CPG supply chain.
