April Schneider is currently an Executive Director of IT supporting the Global Television Distribution line of business at Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) and has extensive experience in Product Metadata & Rights Management as well as Media Asset & Delivery Workflows. April obtained her MBA from the University of Notre Dame and a BS in Accounting & Information Systems from the University of Southern California.She is currently the Chair of the Women in Technology Hollywood (WiTH) Community Engagement Committee and passionate about fostering a community that encourages young girls and women to pursue technology careers.In the past, she served on the Board for Women in Technology (WiT) at Sony Pictures during its inaugural years and during that time spearheaded SPE WiT’s Community Engagement efforts, partnering with several STEM non-profit organizations.April is currently a proud Advisory Board Officer for the University of Notre Dame MBA program for the past five years and is the Chair of their Employer Committee.She is responsible for the successful implementation of a Tech Industry Night at the university, helping students prepare for careers in the Technology Sector.She also currently serves as the Alumni Advisor for the University of Notre Dame’s MBA Women in Business Club and plays a key role in supporting women in business at the university.She previously served on the Board of Directors for Toylend in Chicago, a non-profit organization benefiting disabled children.Prior to her 14 years at Sony Pictures, April worked in the consulting industry for both Deloitte and Ernst & Young. April also worked for a hedge fund managing their Strategic Continuous Improvement Group, as well as, for Countrywide Financial Corporation as an IT Assistant Vice President.
